Every student is at a different stage in their development as a player. Therefore, it would be silly in my opinion to have a set syllabus. It would be like a College Professor teaching Stochastic Calculus to both MIT Grads and 2nd graders.
I'm confident I have more coaching experience than almost anyone out there, allowing me to help identify what areas of a student's game need the most improvement.
My general coaching plan for a 5 hour package is this:
Pre-Lesson) We discuss your goals for our sessions and I ask questions to build an image in my head of where we should head in the latter lessons.
1th hour) I watch you 2-4 table utilizing Skype + Teamviewer while we discuss your game and leaks/areas you feel need the most improvement. A lot of the time, I will find leaks you didn't even realize.
2nd hour) Discussion of these concepts with some hand history review. Normally we do both hour 1 and 2 the same day.
3th hour) For most SSNL players, this lesson generally has to do with the math behind 3 bet pots and analyzing hand histories. Every single student I have had wants to improve their play in 3 bet pots and I use math as a fundamental basis to making your play unexploitable.
For MSNL players, I have a fun lesson where we play headsup at small stakes for 30 minutes and discuss the concepts from HU as they apply to 6 max. I.E. what would my range be here if I was a 40/10 fish and checkminraised you on a Q85 board considering x, y, z. It's meant to help you think more critically on your own about spots you may have been autopiloting.
4th hour) At this point, I like my students to make a video of them playing and explaining all their thought processes. I use this video to track their progress.
5th hour) Up to the student - We discuss options. |
