Matt offered to coach me as a way to give back to the community at BTP. I had been a losing player at 50NL over a pretty big sample size, struggling there for a very long time. With Matt's help I was able to gain more confidence in my plays and become a winning player again. He does an excellent job at making his points clear and explains how to win and move up in the long run as opposed to just making robotic plays or describing standard lines. He also has a plethora of crazy little strategies that are ++EV! Thanks Matt!

I worked a little bit with Matt and one thing I can say is, right away he opened up my eyes to a lot of opportunities to help increase my win rate. He also did a great job explaining his thoughts behind the actions which helped give a much better understanding of why something should be done. He gives his explanations in a clear concise manner and was very patient with making sure I grasped the concepts we were discussing. Whether you're just starting out or want someone to tweak your game a little I wouldn't hesitate about working with him again.

Tom Brady
Matt is first and foremost knowledgeable about the game of poker. While his specialty is focused on the most popular of the games, hold'em, he has a breadth of strategy and advice across the board. On top of his superior knowledge and experience, one of his biggest coaching strengths is to give advice without shattering a player's confidence. He makes the learning experience fun, but is still careful not to let enjoyment of the game overshadow learning key essential poker strategy. I attribute much of my poker success to his mentorship and guidance as I moved up through the micro limits into higher, tougher stakes.
If you want to learn how to play not only your own hand, but your opponent's range, post a higher win-rate, and have fun while doing it—Matt is your man.
