I first started playing poker about a year and a half ago. I had steadily moved up limits just by playing and learning on my own until I became a winning SSNL player. After a while I decided I wanted to take poker more seriously and knew that getting a coach would be a good way to improve my game and move to higher stakes games. One of my friends reccommended that I start taking lessons from Roy. I listened to him and am very happy that I did because my poker game has drastically improved and I have experienced great results. Roy has a very good understanding of the game and is very skilled at making it easy for you to understand difficult concepts. He does anything he can to help you improve such as having sweat sessions, going over Poker Tracker stats, and reviewing hands that you might have questions about. I still receive lessons from him and I still seem to learn something new every session we have together. On top of everything, Roy is an extremely nice guy and is definitely worth your while if you are trying to reach higher goals.

Having met Roy personally and spent endless hours talking to him via Skype and AIM, I can genuinely say he is trustworthy, honest and approachable, and in general a stand up guy. I am still currently taking coaching from him and since the coaching began I have seen a sharp upturn in my win rate but more importantly, I feel I understand the game of NLHE better than I ever have. He has a maturity to his game that belies his age and he is a well versed player in Full Ring, 6 max and HU poker.
I can say with 100% confidence that anyone undertaking coaching from Roy will feel the benefit of his expertise in a very short space of time. I consider him my coach and my friend.
