I am Brian's longest running student. I first met Brian back in 2005 when I put up a request for coaching and he was the ONLY one who replied. I started at $5NL and quickly worked my way up to $2/$4NL in about 7 months. Brian is very good at taking a step back and going over your game as a whole and seeing where you need to improve as a player. He shows how different players will play situations and how you should add to your game.
I feel that the best way to benefit from Brian’s methods is to set up a system where you send him problem hands through the week (where he replies overnight) combined with 4-6 hours of sweats. When I first met Bri, I was a typical weak/tight player and thought I was playing reasonably well. I decided to have him help me out and the difference was amazing! He has a great grasp for any game, and I went from barely 2BB/100 to a solid 8/BB in NL, all the while steadily moving up in game size. If you make a questionable play, he will find it, and ask you about the thought process. He doesn't miss much, if anything. Although I have lost interest in the game recently, I think his help and advice has made me a winning player forever.
