Jaime began playing poker with a group of friends for penny stakes while in high school. One friend became very into it after watching the WSOP on TV. Jaime being the competitive person that he is swore that the only things his friend Ryan would ever be better than him at were swimming and pogo-sticking. With that he decided to go to Border's and buy some poker books and got to studying. It wasn't long before he realised the potential there was to make money if he improved as a player and he set a goal to study, improve, and play higher stakes games. He began playing online with a $200 deposit and after losing it, re-attempted and on his third attempt he won consistently allowing him to rise in stakes - and he has never looked back. Jaime first had success playing PLO and built his initial deposit to a mid 4-figure bankroll before switching to LHE where had really started to make significant amounts of money. After about 8 months of crushing $10/$20 LHE games he decided to take up NLHE and was instantly a winner in the mid stakes games that he played.
Jaime now plays Short Handed NLHE at mid to high stakes with the occasional tournament thrown in. His understanding of poker is extremely strong from a theoretical point of view and he is very well versed at being able to explain his thoughts to others.
What stakes do you currently play? I play anywhere from 2/4 NL to 10/20 NL online and higher when playing live.
